project 2b: retreat house @Shah Alam Botanical Garden
As a group, we visited the sit at Shah Aam Botanical Garden, and completed the site investigation to initiate the preliminary conceptual approach of the Pavilion
Project 2b extends the understanding of design concept and process. It introduces the notion of architectural space
making through the design of a user-specific architectural scheme. This project explores the relationship between architectural tectonics, function and space.
As an individual work, we further develop into a retreat house, a place affording peace and privacy where its occupant would reside for a short period. It should function as a habitable architectural space to enable activities such as living, cooking, leisure, storage and dining.

Reflection
In this final assignment, i learnt that spatial planning and exploration of form is important in our design. We must understand the
components of a retreat house in a critical way for example safety, climate, shelter, convenient for the user and etc. Exploring form is important for us to be more creative and daring in our design.
