Project 1b: observing the everyday
Using the same chosen chapter from Calvino’s - Invisible Cities in Project 1A, along with the findings, analysis and artwork produced, we figured out the lens Calvino applied to identify the city’s characteristic.
With the identified perspectives selected, we were given a specific area in the city of Kuala Lumpur and understand that area with Calvino's unique method. We recorded, documented and narrated our observation, highlighting the major physical characters of the city.
We were given the street of Chow Kit as a place for observation.

A3 presentation
Reflection
Through reading the 'invisible cities', I am now able to critically analyse a theme of subject matter from an artistic medium. I also learned to discuss the themes and references from fields related to the current and contemporary context that are significant in re-telling of stories with my group mates. Besides, I also learned to re-present a story in a graphical approach based on the contemporary context of time. In the process of observing the city of KL, especially in Chow Kit, I am able to analyse and utilize appropriate materials and methods of research.
